It rattles. Nicely made. Rumored to be seen on an amazon in Hooves and Harlots, but I watched the episode tonight and did not see it. There was an amazon with a pouch very similar to this one, though. Screencap of that pouch attached...I'm not convinced it is the same one, though, but....it could be. The design and size are about the same. It is around the waist of the Amazon behind Gabrielle. Thoughts on this ID? Love this prop!

Xena's Coffin Piece with Paua Shells

This is a large chunk of the lid of Xena's coffin from The Quest. The rest of the deck is owned by my good friend Cheri; we purchased it from a seller in NZ who received it (and many other props) directly from a crew member who had decided to sell off items that he had kept for mementos. These are very unique HAND MADE cards and the deck consists of roman (of course!) numeral numbered cards and the usual Jack, Queen and King. Unfortunately the Aces are missing because they were from Xena's winning hand and a crew member kept her winning hand. All the other cards appear to be here, including Titus's losing hand, of which I have three of the cards. These cards feel very unique and could be somewhat fragile so they will be displayed behind glass. The back side of each card is a semi shiny gold color, which doesn't show up that well in the pictures I took but it looks great in person. They are medium thickness and have inked designs in four items: A Sythe, a Sword, a Hand and a Fig Leaf. A beautiful addition to my prop collection!

Bamboo Tankard

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_s6FGTdoCPmY/SluIbT6BQ-I/AAAAAAAABfo/HOsPIq690Hw/s320/tankard2.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5358026184468808674" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_s6FGTdoCPmY/SluIa5kTZcI/AAAAAAAABfg/9DiOzZf7jX8/s320/tankard1.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5358026177398400450" />
Here is a lovely bamboo tankard, just under 6 inches tall. This leather and suede money pouch has a leather drawstring and is nicely made. The dinars are all made of resin and painted a gold color; each of them has a different design. These were a standard throughout all the REN PIC series; the dinar was the currency of the day. I especially like the one with the horsehead on one side; the other side is a roman noble, probably Ceasar.

Piece of Xena's Coffin-The Quest

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp3.blogger.com/_s6FGTdoCPmY/SAUuDWr7czI/AAAAAAAAA3Y/j7HE-gXLsLc/s320/xcoffin.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5189604780778681138" />
Here is a very cool prop, it is a piece of Xena's coffin from the episode, "The Quest." This is from the lid of the coffin, which was purchased by a seller in NZ who cut it up for easier shipping to fellow fans. Bummer, wouldn't it have been cool to own the entire lid? Made of wood and foam, it is a flower piece that can be seen multiple times in the Quest. I have created a shadowbox for it and display the piece with a photo from the episode. Background of the shadowbox is lined with a piece of Gabrielle's leather lining fabric from her 6th season bra. Thought it would be neat to line the shadowboxes with fabric scraps as they were also from the set.

Xena's Toy Crossbow-Solstice Carol

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp2.blogger.com/_s6FGTdoCPmY/SARLVWr7cUI/AAAAAAAAAx0/zFGrr30taSY/s320/xenacrossbow1.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5189355500876820802" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp0.blogger.com/_s6FGTdoCPmY/SARLV2r7cVI/AAAAAAAAAx8/Sbx3W7JiE9Q/s320/crossbowxena.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5189355509466755410" />
Great item, and I was pleased to find it in superb condition.
